Strong-Drive SDWS Washer Head Timber Screw 5.6 x 125mm Carbon Steel Double Barrier Coating 12 pack
Description
The Strong-Drive SDWS M5.6 Landscape Screw is designed for several common wood framing and engineered wood applications. This 125 mm screw provides an easy to install, high strength alternative to through bolting and traditional lag screws. This 5 Inch screw with 0.22 Inch shank, features stainless steel construction and double barrier coating for long lasting durability. It features patented SawTooth point that ensures fast starts, reduces installation torque and eliminates the need for pre-drilling in most applications. Screw has bold thread design for superior holding power where under head nib for greater control when seating the head. This screw has large low profile washer head to offer enhanced bearing area. With 6-lobe T-40 drive, this screw minimises driver bit cam outs resulting in easier installations and longer bit life.
Features & Benefits
Perfect for wood applications
Under head nibs offer greater installer control, when seating the head
Large washer head provides maximum bearing area
Deep, 6-lobe recess reduces cam-out, thus making driving easier
Double barrier coating provides corrosion resistance equivalent to hot-dip galvanisation, thus making it suitable for certain exterior and preservative treated wood applications
Bold thread design provides superior holding power
Low-profile head design provides a clean look and less interference after installation
Patented 4CUT tip ensures fast starts and reduces installation torque, while eliminating the need for pre-drilling in most applications
Screws with double barrier coatings are not used in exterior environments, where there is airborne salinity or salinity splash
