Remodelling Murder - by Nic Scanlan-Dyas - Paperback

$42.00
What was found whilst remodelling Sibson Hall, and was it enough to kill for?

Fifty something Detective Inspector Pat Hound is not happy - crime scene coveralls and the menopause are a terrible combination. It's Saturday morning and she should be drinking coffee at the Black Dog on Camden Road, but instead, she's investigating a dead body found locked in a bedroom of an English country mansion outside Royal Tunbridge Wells - a mansion recently purchased by a Japanese family with connections to the yakuza.
All five employees of the renovation company, Yukiko Curiosity Design, who stayed at Sibson Hall the previous night, say it was suicide, but Pat has her doubts. Like the contents of her wardrobe, there are too many things that don't fit.
Why is the victim holding a wooden mallet? Why does everyone keep asking if she believes in ghosts? And why is her mother day-clubbing in Ibiza?
If you enjoyed The Thursday Murder Club, or Magpie Murders, then grab a pint of Spitfire Ale and a pork pie, cosy up to the nearest fireplace, and prepare to fall in love with DI Pat Hound...even though she might not always love herself.
