This greenstone necklace is a beautiful piece of M?ori jewellery. It is carved from genuine Nephrite Jade. A beautiful hook shape makes a wonderful Kiwiana gift or NZ souvenir. This M?ori necklace is strung on a braided traditional black wax cord. The height that the pendant hangs at can be adjusted using the sliding knots. As each piece is individually carved slight variations can occur.
The Manaia is a symbol of protection and acts as a guardian against evil.
