Dynamat Xtreme Speaker Kit: Applying Dynamat to the panels surrounding your speakers eliminates speaker panel distortion by transforming the flimsy sheet metal into a solid non-resonant baffle. The Dynamat Xtreme Speaker Kit contains two 254mm x 254mm (10" x 10") pieces of Dynamat Xtreme to be used when mounting your speaker to a metal baffle like a car door or rear deck lid. For proper installation, use one of our Dynaroller tools. The DynamatXtreme Speaker Kit is self-adhesive.
Dynamat Xtreme: Dynamat Xtreme is a black butyl-based core with 4 mil aluminium constrain layer, and craft paper release liner.
Description: Dynamat is a patented, lightweight elastomeric butyl and aluminium constrained-layer vibration damper. Dynamat conforms and fuses easily to sheet metal and other hard substrates. Material performance is optimized for temperature ranges between 14°F and 140°F (- 10°C to +60°C). Material can withstand temperature extremes between -65°F and +300°F (-54°C to +149°C) and is highly resistant to aging.
Applications: Dynamat can be die cut to shape and placed onto the body surface directly on painted panels or after the sheet metal is cleaned before painting (typically at the sealer application operation). Dynamat is used to treat metal panels, partitions, duct doors, bins, panels and so forth in automobiles, railroad cars, buses, and ships. It is also used for ventilation ducts, relay cabinets, steel furniture, home appliances, sink units, computer equipment, machine tools and many other objects that suffer from vibration-production noise.
