Tea Cosies

Tea Cosies for Teapots:

Keep your teapot warmer for longer with a tea cosy designed to combine insulation with distinctive kitchen style. This collection is centred on decorative fabric tea cosies from Ulster Weavers, alongside a playful cat-shaped option from T&G, with designs ranging from florals and traditional motifs to dogs, cats, ducks and vintage-inspired prints.

Cotton Tea Cosies from Ulster Weavers:

Many of the tea cosies in this range are made with a 100% cotton outer and insulated wadding inside. Ulster Weavers offers both traditional over-the-pot tea cosies and muff-style designs, giving you different ways to cover and insulate your teapot.

The muff tea cosies are designed to wrap around the base, body and shoulder of the teapot while leaving the handle and spout accessible. Selected designs are made to fit around a 6-cup teapot and include details such as piping, ties and a flat or removable base.

Traditional Tea Cosies for 6-Cup Teapots:

Standard Ulster Weavers tea cosies are also available for teapots holding up to six cups. These styles use thick wadding for insulation and include practical features such as hanging loops on selected designs.

The prints are a major part of the range, with patterns including florals, birds, Scottish terriers, cats, dogs, farmhouse ducks, forest animals, vintage tea tins and toile-inspired artwork. This makes it easy to choose a tea cosy that works with a particular kitchen style or makes a thoughtful gift for a tea drinker.

Shaped & Character Tea Cosies:

For something less traditional, the collection also includes shaped designs such as the large Scotty Dog tea cosy and T&G’s Charlie The Cat tea cosy. These combine the practical purpose of covering a teapot with a more playful decorative look.

Choosing the Right Tea Cosy:

Before selecting a tea cosy, compare the listed dimensions with your teapot and check whether the design is intended for a standard pot, a six-cup pot or a specific muff-style fit. Also consider whether you prefer a fully covered traditional shape or a muff design that keeps the handle and spout exposed for easier pouring.
