Square Cushions for Sofas, Beds & Living Spaces:

Square cushions are a versatile way to add colour, texture and comfort to sofas, beds and occasional chairs. This collection includes filled decorative cushions and selected square cushion covers in sizes ranging from compact 40 x 40cm designs through to 45 x 45cm and 50 x 50cm cushions, with styles from Bambury, Private Collection, Davinci, DreamGreen and other homeware ranges.

45 x 45cm Decorative Square Cushions:

The 45 x 45cm format is well represented and includes velvet, jacquard, embroidered and textured designs. Private Collection styles include the Loxton cushion in 100% polyester velvet, with raised embroidered stripes on the front and smooth velvet on the reverse.

Other 45cm cushions include jacquard and patterned designs in colours such as charcoal, navy, blue, white, granite and slate. These mid-sized cushions work well individually on an armchair or grouped with other cushions on a sofa or bed.

50 x 50cm Cotton, Linen & Textured Cushions:

For a slightly larger decorative cushion, the collection includes a wide selection of 50 x 50cm styles. Bambury’s Willow cushions use pre-washed cotton gauze with a gingham check pattern and polyester fill, while the plain linen range is made from 100% French flax linen and includes a feather inner.

Other Bambury designs add waffle textures, embroidery, floral motifs and richer surface detail. The Florian cushion, for example, uses a cotton, polyester and linen-blend base with looped floral embroidery and a removable fill.

Square Cushion Covers:

The collection also contains selected cushion covers without an inner, including DreamTicket Oxford and DreamGreen Amora designs. Checking whether a product is a filled cushion or cover only is important when choosing.

Choosing Square Cushions:

Start with size and texture. A 45 x 45cm cushion is a versatile choice for layered sofa arrangements, while 50 x 50cm cushions create a fuller look on larger sofas and beds. Choose linen or cotton for natural texture, velvet for a softer tactile finish, or embroidered and jacquard cushions when you want stronger pattern and detail. Mixing different textures and complementary colours can add depth without requiring every cushion to match exactly.
