Cast iron makes up much of the range. Chasseur 30cm round and low round casseroles offer a 2.5L capacity and come in a broad selection of finishes, including Blue, Brilliant White, Matte Black, Duck Egg Blue, Cherry Blossom, Forest, Caviar, Federation Red, Rosewood and Celestial Grey.

The Chasseur cast iron casseroles are designed for stovetop searing followed by oven cooking, with heavy lids featuring concentric rings that create a self-basting effect. They are compatible with all heat sources, including induction. Their wide 30cm format is particularly useful for recipes where a generous cooking surface is preferable to a deep pot.

For greater capacity, the collection includes KitchenAid covered round casseroles in a 26cm, 5.2L format. These cast iron casseroles are suitable for searing, browning, frying, slow cooking and simmering, and can be used on induction and other stovetops as well as in the oven. Colour options include Pistachio, Dried Rose, Empire Red and Almond Cream.

Glass Round Casserole Dish:

The Pyrolux 2.5L round casserole provides a different option for oven cooking. Made from borosilicate glass with a matching heat-safe glass lid, it is suitable for casseroles, baked pasta dishes, desserts and reheating. It can also be used in the microwave, fridge and freezer.

Choosing a Round Casserole:

Consider both capacity and cooking method. A 2.5L casserole suits smaller dishes and everyday baking, while a 5.2L covered casserole provides substantially more room for larger meals. Choose cast iron when stovetop-to-oven versatility and heat retention are priorities, or the Pyrolux glass casserole when you primarily want an oven and microwave-safe baking vessel.
