Locking Tongs for Cooking, Serving & Non-Stick Cookware:

Locking tongs combine everyday food handling with a mechanism that keeps the arms closed when stored. This collection includes stainless steel, nylon-tipped and silicone locking tongs in several lengths, with options from Cuisipro, Core Kitchen and Kitchen Think. Sizes range from compact 7-inch self-locking tongs through to extra-long 40.6cm designs.

Stainless Steel Locking Tongs:

Cuisipro makes up much of the range, with commercial-grade stainless steel locking tongs in 24cm, 30.5cm and 40.6cm lengths. These use a pull-lock mechanism that opens when pushed and locks when pulled, allowing one-handed operation. Selected styles also include hanging loops and are dishwasher safe.

The Cuisipro Tempo range offers another stainless steel option, using heavy-gauge construction with contoured handles and a twist-and-turn locking mechanism. Tempo tongs are available in 22.9cm and 30.5cm sizes.

Nylon & Silicone Locking Tongs:

For non-stick cookware, the collection includes Cuisipro locking tongs with nylon tips in 24cm, 30.5cm and 40.6cm lengths. The nylon ends are designed to grip food while helping protect coated cookware.

Cuisipro silicone locking tongs are available in 24cm and 30.5cm sizes, with black and red colour options. Their silicone ends are heat resistant up to 300°C and suitable for use with non-stick surfaces.

The range also includes Kitchen Think self-locking silicone tongs in 7-inch and 9-inch lengths, along with 254mm Core Kitchen locking tongs designed for non-stick cookware and bakeware. The Core Kitchen style is heat safe to 260°C, dishwasher safe, and resistant to odours and stains.

Choosing the Right Locking Tongs:

Choose shorter tongs for serving and close-control kitchen tasks, standard 24–30.5cm styles for general cooking, or 40.6cm tongs when extra reach is useful. Stainless steel designs suit general food handling, while nylon or silicone tips are the better choice when you regularly cook with non-stick pans or bakeware.
