Dr. Ph. Martin's Liquid Colours – Liquid Acrylics & Watercolours:

Explore Dr. Ph. Martin's Liquid Colours at Smartfox NZ, featuring Spectralite Liquid Acrylics and Radiant Concentrated Water Colour for painting, illustration, calligraphy and graphic design. These highly fluid artist colours offer vibrant pigmentation and precise application, with different formulations suited to permanent artwork and reproduction projects.

Our collection includes individual liquid acrylic colours in 1oz (approximately 30ml) bottles and concentrated watercolour in a 0.5oz (15ml) format.

Dr. Ph. Martin's Spectralite Liquid Acrylics:

Spectralite Liquid Acrylics combine the flowing consistency of watercolour with the permanent finish of acrylic paint. Formulated using finely ground pigments, these archival-grade colours are lightfast and waterproof once dry.

Suitable for paper, canvas, board, wood and metal, Spectralite acrylics offer versatility across different artistic techniques. Their fluid consistency makes them particularly useful for illustration, detailed painting, calligraphy pens, technical pens and airbrushing.

The collection includes Violet, Silver, Terracotta, Olive Green, Brilliant Green, Spectrum Red, White, Turquoise Blue and True Blue.

These individual 1oz bottles allow artists to select specific shades for their projects rather than purchasing a complete colour set.

Dr. Ph. Martin's Radiant Concentrated Water Colour:

For artists seeking brilliant, concentrated liquid watercolour, the collection includes Radiant Concentrated Water Colour in Sepia.

This rich, warm brown shade is supplied in a 0.5oz (15ml) glass bottle with an eyedropper for controlled dispensing.

Radiant Water Colour uses an aniline dye-based formulation designed primarily for graphic arts, illustration, cartooning and artwork intended for reproduction. Its concentrated consistency also makes it suitable for airbrush applications.

Unlike Spectralite acrylics, Radiant colours are not lightfast and may fade with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

Choosing Between Liquid Acrylics & Concentrated Watercolours:

When selecting Dr. Ph. Martin's artist colours, consider your painting surface, application technique and colour permanence requirements.

Choose Spectralite Liquid Acrylics for waterproof, lightfast artwork where long-term colour stability is important. Their compatibility with multiple surfaces makes them useful for fine art, illustration and mixed-media projects.

Radiant Concentrated Water Colour is better suited to artists prioritising brilliant dye-based colour for illustration and graphic reproduction.

Both formulations provide fluid colour for detailed applications, but their different pigment and dye compositions affect how they perform.
