Dr. Ph. Martin's Liquid Acrylics & Watercolours:

Explore Dr. Ph. Martin's artist colours at Smartfox NZ, including Spectralite Liquid Acrylics and Radiant Concentrated Water Colour. Designed for painting, illustration, calligraphy and graphic arts, these highly fluid colours offer different properties for artists working with expressive washes, fine details and vibrant colour.

The collection features individual bottles in a selection of colours, from bold reds, blues and greens to metallic silver and warm sepia.

Dr. Ph. Martin's Spectralite Liquid Acrylics:

Spectralite Liquid Acrylics combine the flowing consistency of watercolour with the permanence of acrylic paint. Made with finely ground pigments, these lightfast, waterproof colours are designed for artists who want fluid application without sacrificing durability.

Our collection includes 1oz (approximately 30ml) bottles in Violet, Silver, Terracotta, Olive Green, Brilliant Green, Spectrum Red, White, Turquoise Blue and True Blue.

The Spectralite range can be used on paper, canvas, board, wood and metal. Its fluid formulation also makes it suitable for illustration, calligraphy pens, technical pens, airbrushing and detailed design work.

These archival-grade liquid acrylics are particularly useful when colour permanence and resistance to water are important considerations.

Dr. Ph. Martin's Radiant Concentrated Water Colour:

The collection also includes Dr. Ph. Martin's Radiant Concentrated Water Colour in Sepia.

Supplied in a 0.5oz (15ml) glass bottle with an eyedropper, this highly concentrated liquid watercolour is designed to produce brilliant colour for illustration, cartooning, graphic design and airbrush applications.

The warm sepia shade is suitable for tonal illustrations, detailed drawings and artwork requiring a traditional brown colour.

Unlike Spectralite acrylics, Radiant Concentrated Water Colour uses an aniline dye-based formulation. These colours can fade with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, making them better suited to reproduction artwork and projects where long-term lightfastness is not essential.

Choosing Between Liquid Acrylics & Concentrated Watercolours:

When selecting Dr. Ph. Martin's artist colours, consider the intended surface, application technique and permanence requirements.

Choose Spectralite Liquid Acrylics when you need waterproof, lightfast colour for painting, illustration or mixed-media work. Consider Radiant Concentrated Water Colour when brilliant, fluid colour is the priority for graphic arts and illustration on paper.

Both ranges offer concentrated liquid colour, but their different formulations make them suitable for different artistic purposes.
