Daler-Rowney Georgian Oil Paints & Water Mixable Oils:

Daler-Rowney Georgian oil paints combine traditional oil colour with a broad palette of individual shades and a choice of tube sizes. This collection includes classic Georgian Oil Colours in 38ml and 225ml tubes alongside Georgian Water Mixable Oil Colours in 37ml and 200ml formats, giving artists options for both conventional and water-mixable oil painting.

Traditional Georgian Oil Colours:

Daler-Rowney Georgian Oil Colours are traditionally crafted and triple-milled, with a high pigment load and a smooth, buttery consistency. The colours can be applied directly from the tube using a brush or palette knife, mixed with one another or thinned for glazing techniques.

The range covers an extensive spectrum of artist colours, including French Ultramarine, Cobalt Blue, Prussian Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Red, Scarlet Lake, Venetian Red, Rose Madder, Primary Magenta, Viridian Hue, Emerald Green Hue, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Vandyke Brown Hue, Ivory Black and Titanium White.

Smaller 38ml tubes are represented alongside larger 225ml tubes, allowing you to choose quantities according to how frequently particular colours are used.

Georgian Water Mixable Oil Paints:

The collection also includes Daler-Rowney Georgian Water Mixable Oil Colours. These provide an alternative to traditional oil paints because they can be thinned, mixed and cleaned up using water rather than requiring solvent-based mediums.

Water mixable colours include options such as Cadmium Red Deep Hue, Sky Blue, Sèvres Blue, Naples Yellow, Peach Pink, Olive Green, Viridian Hue, Zinc White and Ivory Black. Both 37ml and larger 200ml formats are represented.

Choosing Daler-Rowney Georgian Oil Paints:

Choose traditional Georgian oils if you want the established handling characteristics of conventional oil colour, including direct brush or knife application and glazing. Georgian Water Mixable Oils are better suited when you specifically want oil-paint characteristics combined with water miscibility.

Tube size is another practical consideration. Smaller tubes are useful when adding new colours to your palette, while 200ml and 225ml tubes provide a larger quantity for colours you expect to use more extensively.
