Cutting Mats

Cutting Mats for Craft, Modelling, Quilting & Food Preparation:

Cutting mats provide a dedicated work surface for precise cutting while helping protect desks, benches and other surfaces. This collection covers a particularly varied selection, including self-healing craft cutting mats, modelling mats, foldable and rotating designs, replacement mats for Carl trimmers and flexible kitchen cutting mats. Brands represented include Kent, Humbrol, AK Interactive, Army Painter, Dafa, Excel, Carl, Art Advantage and Avanti.

Craft & Self-Healing Cutting Mats:

For arts, crafts and model making, the range includes cutting mats in sizes from compact 4 x 4-inch hobby mats through to larger 18 x 24-inch and A2 formats. Dafa green cutting mats include 3mm-thick options measuring 300 x 220mm, 450 x 300mm and 600 x 450mm, while Humbrol and Kent provide familiar A4 and A3 sizes.

Selected mats are self-healing and feature printed measuring grids to assist with accurate cutting. The Excel 18 x 24-inch green cutting mat, for example, combines a self-healing surface with grid markings for activities such as quilting, sewing, scrapbooking and general craft work.

Foldable & Rotating Cutting Mats:

Kent offers specialist formats for more flexible workspaces. Its foldable self-healing mat opens to 350 x 960mm yet folds down to 240 x 350mm, with multiple grids and angle markings. The Kent rotating cutting mat has a 35cm circular format, non-slip base, measuring grid and angle lines, plus a lock-in function to reduce movement while cutting.

Carl Trimmer Replacement Mats:

The collection also includes dedicated Carl replacement cutting mats for compatible paper trimmers, including PDC200/210, PDC218, PDC230 and PDC250 options. Check your trimmer model carefully before selecting one of these accessories.

Flexible Kitchen Cutting Mats:

Not every product here is for craft. Avanti’s four-piece flexible plastic cutting mat set measures 38 x 28cm and uses colour-coded mats for vegetables, raw meat, fish and bread. The mats are flexible for convenient storage and dishwasher safe.

Choosing the Right Cutting Mat:

Start with your intended task and available workspace. For craft and modelling, consider mat dimensions, thickness, grid markings and features such as self-healing, folding or rotation. For a paper trimmer, match the replacement mat to the exact machine model; for food preparation, choose a purpose-designed kitchen cutting mat rather than a craft surface.
