Cupboard Catches for Cabinet Doors, Cupboards & Interior Joinery:

Cupboard catches provide a simple way to hold cabinet and cupboard doors securely closed, and this collection includes several different mechanisms for new installations, repairs and replacement hardware. The range covers magnetic cupboard catches, nylon catches, single and double ball catches, slide catches, turn-type latches and concealed magnetic catches from brands including Handee, Durabel, Hipkiss, Xcel, Doormag and Miles Nelson.

Magnetic Cupboard Catches:

Magnetic catches make up a large part of the collection. Handee options include junior, senior, heavy-duty and double catches, with white, brown and black finishes represented. Junior catches are suited to smaller cupboards, while heavy-duty and double versions are intended for larger cupboard doors. Selected Handee models are New Zealand made and supplied with the striker or keeper plate and mounting screws.

For a more concealed installation, the Doormag catch uses a matched pair of countersunk neodymium magnets with stainless steel cups. This style is designed to sit discreetly within interior doors or cupboard applications rather than leaving a conventional surface-mounted catch visible.

Ball, Nylon, Slide & Turn Catches:

The collection also includes traditional mechanical cupboard catches. Hipkiss single ball catches use a spring-loaded brass ball mechanism that engages with a strike plate to hold internal cupboard or cabinet doors closed. Several Hipkiss 355 sizes are represented, including 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" options.

For a different style of mechanical closure, there is a 50mm Xcel brass double ball catch, a Hipkiss chrome-finished turn-type face-fixing latch, and a Nippy slide-type cupboard catch supplied with screws.

Durabel nylon catches provide another option, particularly where a firm mechanical hold is needed. The range includes individual catches as well as packs of 6, 50 and 250, with selected versions supplied with mounting screws.

Choosing the Right Cupboard Catch:

Choose a junior magnetic catch for smaller cabinet doors and a heavy-duty or double magnetic catch where a stronger hold is required. Ball catches suit traditional internal cabinetry, while nylon catches are useful where a durable non-metal catch is preferred. For a cleaner appearance, consider a concealed magnetic catch; for visible furniture hardware, turn, slide and brass ball catches provide alternative fixing and operating styles.
