Chef Pans for Sautéing, Frying, Simmering & One-Pan Cooking:

Chef pans combine a broad cooking surface with deeper sides, making them useful for dishes that need more capacity than a standard frypan. This collection includes 25 chef pans from Scanpan, Pyrolux and Chasseur, with sizes ranging from compact 24cm models through to a substantial 43cm Pyrolux Pyrocast pan. Capacities on selected models range from 2.5L to 5L.

Stainless Steel & Non-Stick Chef Pans:

Stainless steel options include the Scanpan Impact 28cm chef pan, made from 18/10 stainless steel with a bonded base, tempered glass lid and drip-free pouring rim. The Scanpan Elektra 32cm uses five-layer clad construction, while Pyrolux Radius 85 provides another 18/10 stainless steel option in a 30cm, 4.5L format.

Non-stick cookware is strongly represented across the collection. Scanpan Classic models use squeeze-cast aluminium with a non-stick cooking surface, while premium Scanpan CS and HaptIQ chef pans feature Stratanium+ non-stick surfaces.

Pyrolux Chef Pans:

Pyrolux accounts for a substantial part of the range, with Pyrocast, Pyrostone, Pyrohex, Nexgen, Ignite, Radius 85 and Pyrochef models represented. Construction varies considerably: Pyrostone uses forged aluminium with a granite-like non-stick coating, while the Pyrohex 30cm/5L pan uses tri-ply stainless steel with a hybrid honeycomb cooking surface.

Pyrochef models provide an enamelled cast iron alternative, including 24cm, 2.5L and larger 4L options.

Chasseur & Copper-Core Chef Pans:

Chasseur chef pans include Maison, Escoffier and Le Cuivre ranges. The 32cm Le Cuivre chef pan uses five-layer construction with a copper core and stainless steel exterior, two side handles and a domed lid. It is suitable for sautéing, frying and steaming.

Choosing the Right Chef Pan:

Consider diameter, capacity, cooking surface and cooktop compatibility. A 24–28cm pan is useful when you want a more compact chef pan, while 30–32cm models provide extra room for stir-fries, pasta dishes, braising, sautéing and one-pan meals. Many models in this collection are induction compatible, but specifications vary, so check the individual pan when induction or particular oven temperatures are important.
