Chasseur Casserole Dishes & Cookware:

Chasseur casserole dishes in this collection include French cast iron cookware alongside stainless steel casserole options from the Maison, Escoffier and Le Cuivre ranges. Sizes and capacities vary from compact 16cm rice casseroles through to 24cm casseroles and wide 30cm low round casserole dishes, providing different formats for stovetop and oven cooking.

Chasseur Cast Iron Casseroles:

The collection has a strong focus on Chasseur’s enamelled cast iron cookware, including 30cm low round casseroles with a 2.5-litre capacity. These French-made casseroles are hand cast in individual sand moulds and finished with coloured enamel.

The heavy lids feature concentric rings that create a self-basting effect, while the cast iron construction provides even heat distribution and heat retention. These low, wide casseroles are suited to dishes such as pasta sauces, risotto, stir-fries and casseroles, as well as searing meat on the stovetop before completing the cooking process in the oven.

Colours represented across the cast iron range include Duck Egg Blue, Federation Red, Matte Black, Caviar, Celestial Grey, Rosewood, Sunset, Brilliant White, Cherry Blossom, Forest and blue.

Compact Rice Casseroles:

For smaller cooking requirements, Chasseur 16cm rice casseroles offer a 1.5-litre capacity. The collection includes finishes such as Inferno Red, Matte Black and Caviar, providing a more compact alternative to the larger round casserole dishes.

Other Chasseur Casserole Ranges:

The collection also includes 24cm casseroles from the Macaron Collection in colours including Cherry Blossom, Antique Cream and Duck Egg Blue. Other cookware styles include the 24cm Chasseur Maison casserole, a 24cm Escoffier induction casserole and a 5.2-litre Le Cuivre casserole with lid.

Choosing a Chasseur Casserole:

Consider both diameter and capacity when selecting a casserole. A 16cm model is suited to smaller quantities, while 24cm casseroles provide additional room for everyday cooking. The wide 30cm low round format offers a larger cooking surface for searing, reducing sauces and preparing dishes that benefit from a broad base. Also compare cookware material and check the specifications of the individual model for cooktop and oven compatibility.
