Artist Canvas Panels

Artist Canvas Panels, Stretched Canvases & Round Canvases:

Choose a painting surface to suit everything from compact beginner projects to large-format artwork. This collection combines economical artist canvas panels with a substantial range of primed stretched canvases in rectangular, square and round formats, covering sizes from 5 x 7-inch panels through to large 76 x 101cm canvases.

Artist Canvas Panels:

Canvas panels provide a compact painting surface and are available in 5 x 7, 9 x 12 and 11 x 14-inch sizes. Each panel is supplied individually and is triple gesso primed and acid free. These economical panels are specifically suited to children and beginners, making them a practical option for learning, experimenting with techniques and completing smaller artworks.

Rectangular & Square Artist Canvases:

The stretched canvas range offers considerably more choice in size and proportion. Smaller formats include 10 x 10cm, 13 x 13cm, 15.2 x 20.3cm and 18 x 22.8cm, while medium and large options extend through sizes such as 31 x 41cm, 36 x 46cm, 51 x 61cm, 51 x 76cm and 76 x 101cm.

Square canvases include 13 x 13cm, 31 x 31cm, 46 x 46cm and a substantial 76 x 76cm format. There are also elongated proportions such as 15 x 31cm, 38 x 76cm and 45 x 91.4cm for compositions that benefit from a narrower panoramic shape. These stretched artist canvases are supplied in sets of six.

Round Artist Canvases:

Circular painting surfaces are available in 20cm, 30cm, 40cm and 50cm diameters, also supplied in sets of six. Round canvases provide a distinctive alternative when a conventional rectangular or square composition does not suit the artwork.

Choosing an Artist Canvas:

Start with the type of surface and finished dimensions you need. Canvas panels are particularly useful for smaller studies and beginner work, while stretched canvases provide a wider choice of shapes and larger formats. Selected stretched canvases are primed and acid free and are suitable for acrylic, oil and watercolour paints. Consider the intended composition carefully, as the collection includes standard rectangles, squares, elongated canvases and circular formats rather than a single conventional shape.
