Panel liners are used to highlight volumes and define the different fuselage plates, panels, and details on aeroplanes, tanks, trains, cars, ships, robots, and more. All models share the common feature of structures and details outlined by lines, either raised or recessed. To achieve greater realism and visual richness, it is important to enhance these structural features after painting by adding depth and volume.

AK Interactive’s precision panel liners are enamel-based products formulated for smooth flow by capillary action, without staining or spreading into unwanted areas. Unlike acrylics, the enamel formula avoids surface tension, allowing the paint to move cleanly through panel lines and recessed features.

This product includes a precision brush with longer, fewer fibres than a standard brush. This allows it to hold more paint and deliver it accurately in a single pass. The fine brush tip ensures controlled application, allowing the paint to settle neatly around surface details and into fine recesses without overflowing, making it ideal for sharp and clean model lining work.
