Never leave any burning object unattended and keep away from flammable materials. To reduc e excessive flame, trim wick after two hours burning. First, extinguish flame, allow to cool, then trim to approx 6mm then re-light. If wax drips, allow to harden and lift away from surface. For greater protection, place multiple citronella candles a round your entertaining area to create a "mozzie-free" zone!
