Artist Canvases

Artist Canvases, Round Canvases & Canvas Panels:

Artist canvases provide a ready painting surface for everything from small studies and classroom projects to large-scale artwork. This collection includes rectangular and square artist canvases, round canvases and compact canvas panels, with sizes ranging from 5 x 7-inch panels and 10 x 10cm canvases through to large 76 x 101cm formats.

Rectangular & Square Artist Canvases:

The main range covers a wide selection of proportions and dimensions. Rectangular options include compact 15.2 x 20.3cm and 20.3 x 25cm canvases, intermediate formats such as 28 x 36cm, 31 x 41cm and 36 x 46cm, and larger painting surfaces including 38 x 76cm, 45 x 91.4cm, 51 x 76cm, 55 x 71cm and 76 x 101cm.

Square canvases are also well represented, with 10 x 10cm, 13 x 13cm, 31 x 31cm, 46 x 46cm and 76 x 76cm options. These provide an alternative composition format for artwork that does not suit traditional portrait or landscape proportions. The artist canvases are supplied in sets or packs of six.

Round Artist Canvases:

For artwork that calls for a circular surface, the collection includes round artist canvases in 20cm, 30cm, 40cm and 50cm diameters. These are also supplied in sets of six, giving artists a consistent circular format across several useful sizes.

Artist Canvas Panels:

Canvas panels provide a more compact and economical painting surface. The collection includes 5 x 7, 9 x 12 and 11 x 14-inch panels. The 5 x 7-inch panel is triple gesso primed and acid free, and is specifically described as suitable for children and beginners.

Choosing an Artist Canvas:

Start with the shape and proportions of the artwork you plan to create. Rectangular canvases suit traditional portrait and landscape compositions, square canvases provide balanced dimensions, and round canvases create a distinctive alternative. For smaller exercises or beginner projects, canvas panels offer a practical choice. Selected larger canvases are primed, acid free and suitable for acrylic, oil and watercolour paints, so check the individual product specifications when matching a canvas to your preferred medium.
