The Starrett 385 Series Steel Straight Edit with Bevel Edge is precision ground and nicely finished to rigid Starrett standards. It is unexcelled for drawing or scribing straight lines & checking surfaces for straightness. Its thickness & design permit it to retain shape & accuracy but still be portable & easy to handle. The 1200mm edge is marked with arrows at 2 suspension points. If the straight edges are brought to the work & used on edge, they should be suspended at these 2 points to minimize deflection
