Discover the premium quality of our Artist Canvas - Das Studio 3/4 Canvas, designed for aspiring and professional artists alike. Measuring 6x12 inches, this canvas is the perfect choice for a variety of painting techniques including acrylic, oil, and mixed media. Crafted with care, Das Studio canvases utilize the finest 1% natural long fiber cotton, woven using double warp yarns for exceptional durability and a medium grain texture that ensures ideal paint adherence. Our artist-grade canvas is not treated with alkaline, preserving its natural tone and flexibility, which is crucial for vibrant artwork.
The sturdy wooden frame is made from warp-resistant timber that has undergone a natural seasoning process for six months. This meticulous preparation, which includes soaking, degreasing, and kiln drying, gives the frame a firm structure that artists can trust.
Each canvas is primed three times with acid-free acrylic ground (known as acrylic gesso), creating a perfect receptive surface for paint. The appropriate ground and primer are essential for achieving a long-lasting, luminous finish on your artwork. No matter your preferred painting style, our Das Studio 3/4 Canvas provides an optimal foundation for your creative expression. Elevate your art with Smartfox NZ's Artist Canvas - where quality meets affordability in every stroke.

das canvas is manufactured using a 1% natural long fibre cotton, woven with double warp yarns and single weft yarns. The strength of the
canvas is based on the yarn thickness, closeness of construction and fibre quality. It is not rinsed with alkaline which helps maintain its natural
tone and flexibility.
The wooden frame is constructed using a warp resistant timber which has been stored for six months under natural conditions. The wood is then
soaked, degreased and kiln dried to ensure the firm structure of the frame.
The fabric is primed three times with an acid free acrylic ground (known as acrylic gesso). This seals and protects the canvas creating a
receptive surface for the paint to adhere to. The proper size ground and primer are essential for achieving a long lasting painting. "A painting is
done on the primer that has been applied to the canvas". Paint absorbs into the primer, not the canvas fibres. For additional luminosity, it is
recommended applying additional primer compatible with the paint you intend to use.
