Artist Canvas - Das Studio 3/4 Canvas 10x20(Inches)

$15.26 $17.95
Discover the ultimate creative tool for artists with the Artist Canvas - Das Studio 3/4 Canvas, measuring 10x20 inches. Crafted using superior materials, this economical canvas option delivers exceptional quality and performance. Designed for versatility, our medium weight, medium grain surface caters to a variety of painting techniques, ensuring you can express your creativity without limits.

The Das canvas is constructed from 100% natural long fiber cotton, expertly woven with double warp and single weft yarns. This meticulous composition guarantees a strong and stable structure, allowing your artwork to flourish. Plus, without alkaline rinsing, the canvas maintains its natural tone and elasticity, providing an authentic foundation for your creativity.

Our frames are made from warp-resistant timber, carefully dried and processed to ensure durability. Each wooden frame undergoes a six-month natural storage period, followed by soaking and kiln drying to create a robust support system for your artistic endeavors.

Primed three times with acid-free acrylic ground (also known as acrylic gesso), this canvas offers a protective layer that enhances paint adhesion. The proper ground and primer application is essential for a lasting masterpiece, creating a vibrant canvas where paint absorbs beautifully into the primer, not the fibers.

Unleash your artistic potential with the Artist Canvas - Das Studio 3/4 Canvas 10x20 inches, only at Smartfox NZ. Ideal for both amateur and professional artists, this canvas delivers quality, reliability, and unbeatable value—perfect for your next painting project.

das canvas is manufactured using a 1% natural long fibre cotton, woven with double warp yarns and single weft yarns. The strength of the
canvas is based on the yarn thickness, closeness of construction and fibre quality. It is not rinsed with alkaline which helps maintain its natural
tone and flexibility.
The wooden frame is constructed using a warp resistant timber which has been stored for six months under natural conditions. The wood is then
soaked, degreased and kiln dried to ensure the firm structure of the frame.
The fabric is primed three times with an acid free acrylic ground (known as acrylic gesso). This seals and protects the canvas creating a
receptive surface for the paint to adhere to. The proper size ground and primer are essential for achieving a long lasting painting. "A painting is
done on the primer that has been applied to the canvas". Paint absorbs into the primer, not the canvas fibres. For additional luminosity, it is
recommended applying additional primer compatible with the paint you intend to use.
